It has been a couple of months since the Windows 8 Consumer Preview was launched and if you're not aware, the Release Preview was out two days back. Microsoft is rumored to be launching Windows 8 in October this year and has come out with Windows Upgrade Offer for users who purchase a Windows 7 PC during the period of 2nd June 2012 to 31st January 2013.

Windows Upgrade Offer will let eligible users upgrade to Windows 8 for just $14.99. The eligibility details are as follows:

The offer is for customers (e.g. home users, students, and enthusiasts) who purchase a qualifying PC. A qualified PC is a new PC purchased during the promotional period with a valid Windows 7 OEM Certificate of Authenticity and product key for, and preinstalled with:

  • Windows 7 Home Basic;
  • Windows 7 Home Premium;
  • Windows 7 Professional; or
  • Windows 7 Ultimate.

The promotional price is limited to one upgrade offer per PC purchased and a maximum limit of five upgrade offers per customer.

The last date for registration is 28th February 2013. So, if you've been postponing the purchase of a new Windows laptop or desktop, you can go ahead and take advantage of this offer and secure your copy of Windows 8 for a very low price.
