After unveiling the Focus 2 for AT&T last week, Samsung has
announced yet another Windows Phone - the Omnia M. Unlike the Focus
2, the Omnia M will be a low-end Windows Phone.
The Omnia M comes with a 1 GHz processor, a 5 Megapixel camera
with single-LED flash, and a secondary VGA camera for video
calling. It also features a 4.0" Super AMOLED display. The device
is 10.5 mm thick and the design is similar to its predecessor, the
Omnia 7.
The phone has 384 MB of RAM and the storage capacity is limited
to only 4 GB. There are some Samsung exclusives such as SmartDJ,
AllShare and Samsung's own messaging app - ChatOn.
Judging by the specs, it's most likely that the Omnia M won't be
eligible for the "Apollo" update. This phone will be available
starting in Europe and will be gradually available in other
regions.
